Aluref SA was awarded the Bake Furnace Refractory Maintenance Contract at Bayside Aluminium, involving the maintenance and refurbishment of critical refractory structures within the bake furnace.
As part of the project, the Aluref team was responsible for the manual demolition and rebuilding of the flue walls in situ. The work required careful removal of the existing refractory while maintaining the structural integrity of the surrounding furnace and ensuring that the new refractory installation met the required quality and performance standards.
The project demonstrated Aluref’s capability to execute specialised refractory maintenance in demanding operating environments, combining experienced personnel, controlled demolition techniques and quality refractory installation practices.
