The company’s experience is rooted in major greenfield and brownfield aluminium smelter projects, with Aluref personnel having been involved in projects at Bayside, Hillside and Mozal. This background has developed a strong base of practical refractory knowledge, technical capability and project experience.
Today, Aluref SA provides refractory services to industrial clients in South Africa, Africa and international markets. The company combines experienced personnel, specialist equipment, workshop infrastructure and integrated project-management systems to deliver safe, cost-effective and high-quality solutions.

Aluref SA places a strong emphasis on developing its workforce through accredited external training and ongoing on-the-job development. Training includes health and safety, first aid, forklift and crane operation, supervisory training, heavy machinery, working at heights, welder certification and specialised equipment training.
