Alumech achieved ISO 3834-2:2021 certification covering comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials, with a certified scope including pressure piping, structural steel and sheet metal. The company also holds certification for pressure vessel work in accordance with ASME Section VIII Division 1 Appendix 10 as incorporated into SANS 347:2024 Annex B.
Alumech has completed engineering and maintenance projects for major industrial operations including Richards Bay Coal Terminal and Mondi Richards Bay, with work spanning stacker reclaimers, tandem tiplers, ship loaders, conveyors, structural repairs and mechanical installations.
